This Privacy Policy explains how Trine Point LLC ("Trine Point," "we," "us") handles information in connection with the Presence macOS application (the "App") and the website stayspresent.com (the "Site").

In short: Presence has no analytics or tracking. It never reads your files, keystrokes, or screen contents. The only data it sends is what's needed to validate your license and check for updates.

Information the App handles

No analytics or tracking. The App contains no analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking. It does not collect your name, your files, your keystrokes, or the contents of your screen.
License activation. When you activate a license, the App sends your license key and an anonymous device identifier — a token derived from your Mac's hardware identifier plus its model name (for example, MacBookPro18,3-7F3A2C) — to our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, to verify the license and manage the number of devices on it. This identifier does not contain your name.
Software updates. The App periodically checks stayspresent.com for an update feed using the Sparkle framework. This is a standard web request and is not used to profile you.

Information from purchases

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all purchases. When you buy Presence, Lemon Squeezy collects your billing and payment details under their privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We do receive order information — such as your email address, the product purchased, and your license key — so we can deliver the product and provide support.

The website

The Site does not run analytics or set advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider (Vercel) and our download host (GitHub) may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and request metadata, for security and operational purposes.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers needed to operate Presence — principally Lemon Squeezy (payments and licensing), Vercel (website hosting), and GitHub (application download hosting) — and where required by law.

Data retention

We keep order and license records for as long as needed to support your purchase and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@trinepoint.com. Some records may be retained where we are legally required to keep them. Requests relating to payment data may need to be directed to Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record.

Children

Presence is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
